Windows
Windows is a piece for 4 musicians with portable speakers and resonators. The piece was written for and premiered by the ANU New Music Ensemble in 2015. I provided the ensemble with one track each of pre-recorded audio and a collection of resonant objects found in thrift stores. The piece then asks performers to improvise using these two elements. There was significant time spent work-shopping this piece to help players develop a kind of improvisatory language to interact with these objects.
The Performers in this video are (Left to Right): Hayden Fritzlaff, Brenan Keller-Tuberg, Gen Kinotisha and Lewis Rosenberg
The pre-recorded electronic parts of this piece are available on request
