Piece for 3 composers and 3 Musicians
Piece for 3 Composers and 3 Musicians was written as part of an experimental music summer camp run by the Canberra Experimental Music Studio. The first half of the piece involves composers speed-creating graphic scores by cutting up colored paper and taping it to sheets of manuscript paper. The scissors and tape dispensers used in this process are amplified using contact microphones. The second half of the piece is three musicians interpreting the scores created by the composers.
It was first performed at the showcase concert for the Canberra Experimental Music Studio workshop 2015 and subsequently performed at other EMS gigs including You Are Here 2015.
